Summer Fun Part 4

We spent most of a week camping at Silver Lake with the Kinsmen and at Auburn Riverside Retreat with our friends the Angst and Nelson families. Zack REALLY enjoyed the pool and even began to swim without his water wings by the end of the week.
Brycen took a bit longer to warm up to the water but by the end of the week he was jumping in and splashing anyone in his way!!!

A serious moment wiht Brycen and Mommy.
The campground even has an Elk paddock and Brycen lived for the 'tracker' and wagon rides to see the 'funny elk'.
Here is one of the fish Zack caught at Silver Lake... he won a trophy for the smallest fish...1.5 inches!!!
Brycen did NOT like the fish and cried most of the time we showed him one...it didn't help that the fish jumped out of Daddy's hand and landed on Brycen!!!
In the week prior to this Brycen hated the water...but he soon got over this and turned into a little fish. He enjoyed splashing and digging in the sand at Silver Lake.
We also got to go for a boat ride with our friend Bill at Silver Lake.
Brycen had never been on a boat before but wasn't really sure if he liked it or not...he did a lot of snuggling with mommy anytime the boat went fast.

Summer Fun Part 3

Hangin out at Papa's, Brycen and Zack got the chance to help Uncle Josh (aka Uncle JuWatch or Crotch) feed the calves. Here they are deciding where to go next.
Jessica came to help them too.
Then it was off to the beach with Grandma, Jessica and mommy.
Brycen loves the sand but not to sure of the water.
Enjoying some juice after a hot day at the beach...wearing matching t-shirts from Uncle Jason and family all the way from Estevan Sask.

Summer Fun Part 2

The boys enjoyed a photo shoot at Papa's place on his tractor. I made a t-shirt for dad for his birthday with this picture of the boys on it but in black and white. This is Brycen's most favourite place to be...on Papas 'tracker'...though Papa is now becoming known as Cramp Pa.
I call this one Peek a boo Brycen. Doesn't it look like something out of the 1940s? This tractor was purchased by my Grandpa Ireland in 1940 and is a Farmall H. My dad fixed it up earlier and it is currently being used in a tractor square dance group done in Teeswater for the International Plowing Match.

The last weekend in June was the World's Invitational Fastball Tournament in Monkton. It is our fifth year hosting this tournament. This year they had a day camp that Zack attended. It is capped off with an autograph signing session with many of the players who hail from places all over North America, South America, Austrailia and New Zeeland.
Zack and Brycen's cousin Jessica was home for a week and spent some time with them and their cousin Mac. Mac is VERY fond of Zackary and tries to kiss him all the time!!!
Father's Day weekend we took our family to our church retreat at Camp Kintail. We enjoyed lots of activities including fun at the beach during the day and a campfire their at night. This is Zack and his buddy Darnell throwing rocks in the lake.
