Photo updates

It's been a long time since I've done any updates so here are a few of the birthday celebrations we had with Zack.

Last weekend we celebrated both Zack and Brycen's birthdays with my family. The boys were VERY excited about their presents!!!

I don't have any great shots of Cameron to post (for once)but we do have a pretty awesome video to show....

We're so excited that he is walking close to the 'normal' time frame. The physiotherapist saw him 2 weeks ago and was very impressed with how well he is doing. She will not see him again till October and will likely discharge him then. Her only concern continues to be the tightness/ lack of full extension in his arms but is hoping it will correct itself. We see an ortho specialist for a minor issue with Brycen's legs/feet in September and she's asked that we have this doctor look at Cameron's arms.
Cameron had tubes put in his ears a week ago and already we are noticing a difference in the amount of echoing and mimicing he is doing now that he can hear properly. He did well with the surgery though he had big problems with agitation after the anesthetic and needed to be sedated in order to for us to manage him...poor little guy! He weighs just over 22 lbs now. Geoff is certain he's our heaviest kid at 1 year old but I'm pretty sure Brycen was just a bit heavier. Regardless he's come a long way from the 4lb baby he was at birth!

This and that

Just some random shots of the boys this spring!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone! What a wonderful Easter weekend we had!

With the weather in Ontario being so amazing this Easter, we enjoyed our first ever Easter egg hunt outdoors at Grandma and Papa Ireland's on Good Friday. Usually we are battling muddy ground, snow piles and cold weather at Easter.
Brycen loved the egg hunt. Usually he follows behind Zack and gets the 'leftovers' but it was such a big area at the farm that he could go wherever he wanted and got lots of great treats.

My nephew Mac was part of the Easter egg hunt too and he was, by far, the cutest, most photogenic egg hunter I've ever seen!

Zack was the fastest egg hunter...and the had the most to show for it too!

Cameron didn't really hunt for any eggs but enjoyed hanging out with Papa and shake the eggs. He got so excited and was so cute to watch.

Cameron decorated his first Easter eggs with Edith, our exchange student. He really just wanted to eat the crayons though!!!

Zack was very excited about decorating eggs this year and told us how what colours to mix together to make which colours...such a smart boy...takes after his mom of course!!!

Brycen loved decorating eggs...such a little Picaso!

Let the hunt begin!

Cameron loved finding the big plastic eggs....okay let's be honest, he loved finding the candy ones too but I didn't let him have those after he snuck the first jelly bean and made a gooey mess of it!!!! The rest of his were plastic filled with Gerber puffs. He loves those too!!!

I LOVE the light in this picture... and the boy in it too!!!

March Break 2010

Welcome Spring...the Tummers Boys are so glad you are here!!!

I know this picture looks like Cameron is in baby jail....and lately he's so busy I've wondered about putting him in one....however this is Cameron's first experience walking outdoors...and he LOVED it!!!

But as always it is easier to army crawl than walk so down he went and off exploring on the deck. Watch out for the slivers little man!!!!

The big boys have been enjoying the outdoors too. Their latest 'game' is Star Wars and here is Captain Zack up in his command post.

Commander Brycen is on the ground taking directions and then he'll head over to the space ship (aka the playground tree house) and start the battle!!!

Today we took a trip to the Mountsberg Conservation Area's Mapletown celebration. Cameron LOVED the pancakes the best!!!

The boys learned how trees are tapped and where the sap comes from.

They also got a chance to try the sap and were pretty surprised how 'blah' it was!!!

They also saw the tools used to tap the trees and even tried them out.

Cameron just took it all in....what a cool kid!!!!

Mommy and Cameron had a great time in the sun....what a great day it was!

Later the big boys burned off their pancake lunch with a play in the very dusy but very fun play area built in the haymow area of the barn.

We just had to take this picture. The conservation area is located on the Cameron family homestead.

More Birthday Pictures

Happy Birthday Cameron and Cole!
I love these mirror shots. They give me a great visual of what life could have been like. Miss you lots little birthday angel!

Cameron and Cole's birthday cake...it was supposed to be angel food cake with butterflies (they've become symbolic of Cole for us)...but the store was out of angel food cake...and I am way to lazy to make one from scratch!

This cake was made by one of my students...isn't it cute!
Cameron could hardly wait to get his hands on it!

and it tasted GREAT!!!!

And the best part....presents...or rather the wrapping they come in!!!!

Happy Birthday Sweet Miracle Boys!

Wow, a year has gone by already....feels like just yesterday that I was so full of mixed emotions about this day. I'd say it's gone by quickly but truly it hasn't. Maybe that's because I treasured each and every moment with this little miracle who almost didn't get to be here to have this special birthday with us.
I am posting a few pics of the celebration from last weekend with the Ireland gang and will post more pics of today and tomorrow (when our friends come over) later in the weekend.
I thought I'd add the link to my other blog here as the other emotions about today are there along with a piece I wrote for the boys...a powerful one I think that is not full of sadness but honesty and hope...this blog is just for photos and joyful thoughts today!!!

I'm hoping this video will work...not sure the others I posted lately can be viewed...blogger seems to have issues lately.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAMERON AND COLE, WE LOVE YOU BOTH SO MUCH!!!!
